LIVE: pre-election debate in Tallinn

The Foreign Investors Council of Estonia, in cooperation with the Foreign Chambers of Commerce, is holding a pre-election debate with the representatives of the major political parties in Estonia, with the focus on business climate and foreign investments. It is expected to be the only election debate that is conducted in English.

Estonia is due for a general election in less than a month. The only English-language election debate will discuss the economic and fiscal outlook for the next four years to come. It will feature former finance minister Jürgen Ligi (Reform Party), Head of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Marko Mihkelson (IRL), Head of the Parliament’s Financial Committee Rannar Vassiljev (Social Democrats), and political scientist Oudekki Loone (Center Party).

The debate will take place from 16:00-19:00 on Wednesday, 11 February. The event will be moderated by Andrus Alber, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Estonia.

Estonian World and ERR News will both live broadcast the debate.

Please note that the live broadcast has now ended.
