### An Estonian foundation called Prototron has opened its autumn round for applications and is ready to provide up to €10,000 in grants to help startuppers realise their ideas.

The main purpose of the fund is to encourage inventive and entrepreneurial-minded people, give them financial support and make their ideas become a reality, the [foundation](http://prototron.ee/en/)
 said in a statement.

“There are thousands of issues related to industry, energy and its consumption, as well as the prospects of the transport system, its development and optimisation,” the foundation said, adding that anyone who has a good idea to solve any of the issues, should send their application before 15 October 2017.

The foundation asks the applicants to pay special addition and provide additional resources to the projects with following topics:

- With the support of Elering, the fund is looking for ideas on the data processing in the energy sector;
- With the support of EIT Raw Materials, it is looking for solutions for industrial digitalisation;
- With the participation of FinEst Link experts and the Tekes fund, Prototron supports the ideas on how to optimise the transport connection between Tallinn and Helsinki.

In addition to funding from the Prototron Foundation, the best ideas will be supported by partners and provided with tools and resources required for the successful implementation of projects. Startups are also given the opportunity to develop their idea at the Science Park Tehnopol incubator, use the technique and advice of experienced mentors, as well as rely on legal support and opportunity to pitch before mentors in order to achieve success as quickly as possible.

Prototron was established in 2012 by Swedbank, the Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol and Tallinn Technical University. So far it has supported entrepreneurs and startups through investing about €600,000.
