### The London-based business newspaper, the Financial Times, has listed the Estonian-founded startup, TransferWise, as the 24th fastest growing company in Europe.

According to the newspaper, the annual revenue of TransferWise has grown 3,392% between 2013 and 2016, and the number of the company’s employees has grown by 670 in the same time. The annual revenue of the company in 2016 was €73,663,000 and it had 700 employees the same year.

The fastest growing company in Europe, according to the FT, was Deliveroo, a UK-based food and beverage company. It was followed by Thermondo, a Germany-based energy company, and Traventia Viajes, a Spanish travel company.

The FT 1000 lists the companies in 31 European countries that have achieved the highest compound annual growth rate in revenue between 2013 and 2016.

### London heads the list

London heads the list of cities playing host to these companies, with 74 of Europe’s fastest-growing businesses, beating Paris with 62 and Milan’s 25, the newspaper said.

“The lowest average growth rate in the ranking this year was 34.6 per cent, up from 16.1 per cent last year,” the FT added.

TransferWise is an Estonian-founded, London-based money transfer company, established by Estonians Taavet Hinrikus and Kristo Käärmann in 2011.
