### Klaus, an Estonian company that produces a conversation review and quality assurance platform for customer service teams, closed a USD1.9 million seed round, saying the investment is aimed at doubling development power and expanding marketing efforts.

The investment was led by Creandum, a European venture capital firm, with participation from Icebreaker, a Nordic venture capital company, and several angel investors, including the founders of Pipedrive, an Estonian cloud-based sales software company.

Klaus helps companies increase their customer service quality by systematically going through past interactions with customers and giving feedback to agents. The company was launched by Martin Kõiva and Kair Käsper and its customers include Soundcloud and Trivago, it said in a statement.

With the newly added funds, the startup is aiming to gain visibility and expand its technical team to focus on developing new features aimed at providing smarter ways of rating and filtering conversations, it added.
