Tennis player Andy Murray has invested into the Estonian financial technology company, Investly, the company announced.
According to the company, Murray has made investments into high-potential UK companies before.
The founder of Investly, Siim Maivel, said in a statement that Murray’s investment into his company is a “great recognition” for the company’s team.
The company has an ongoing investment round, where it is seeking £500,000 new investments – and according to a statement, Investly has already fulfilled 92% of the goal.
Sir Andrew Murray is a British professional tennis player from Scotland, currently ranked 20th in the world in men’s singles. He is a three-time Grand Slam tournament winner, two-time olympic champion, a Davis Cup champion and the winner of the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals.
Investly is an Estonian fintech startup, helping Estonian and British companies finance their long-term invoices in order to collect the money faster.
