The Estonian strategic change and technology company, Nortal, has opened an office in Seattle, WA, after securing a cooperation project with a North American telecom company.

The cooperation project with an unnamed company is, according to Nortal, its largest ever, entailing the development of a “holistic and comprehensive e-commerce solution servicing tens of millions end users annually”.

Nortal has previously told the Estonian media the North American company it is cooperating with is one of the three leading mobile phone operators in the US. The biggest mobile operators in the country are Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.

Because of the project, Nortal has decided to open an office in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, namely in Seattle. According to the company, the US is the global leader in online commerce, even though it’s also quite developed in Estonia and the Nordics.

To date, Nortal has completed numerous e-commerce projects in Estonia, Canada, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia and Northern Europe.
