17 innocent people were killed in France from 7-9 January by three Islamic terrorists. The attack started at the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in Paris, in which eight journalists were executed by two terrorists. On 11 January, up to 1.6 million people attended a march in Paris to protest against terrorism and in support of free press. The exercise of free speech is a fundamental human right and a free press is essential to democracy. Estonian World grieves our French colleagues who have died for it.
Bravo Charlie! And Bravo Estonian World for showing such great support. For me, If there’s one thing that stands out about the Estonian culture, it’s the tolerance of alternative views. Keep up the good work.

3.7 million people is the figure for the whole country, not for Paris.
