Photographer Birgit Püve – capturing identity and memory

Birgit Püve is an Estonian photographer whose work has been shown around the world. A former journalist and editor, Püve’s work focuses on memory and identity. In 2014 she received the third prize at The Taylor Wessing Photographic Prize 2014 at London’s National Portrait Gallery. Birgit Püve’s photo wins a prize at a London contest

A photo by the Estonian photographer and journalist, Birgit Püve, came third at a prestigious London photo contest, the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. Püve’s photo was of nine-year-old Estonian twins, Braian and Ryan, taken at their grandmother’s house outside Tallinn.
