Tallinn and New York based children’s fashion photographer Katrina Tang has been chosen by Photo District News (PDN) as one of the top 30 new and emerging photographers to watch in 2015.
First published in 1980, Photo District News (PDN) is one of the most respected trade publications for professional photographers. Boasting 312,000 unique monthly visitors, the PDN family of websites is a source of information and inspiration for professional photographers, photo buyers, visual creatives, photo students and their instructors. The magazine’s paid paper circulation is 20,000 and with on- and offline channels combined, PDN claims a total monthly industry reach of 512,000.
Each year since 1999, the editors of PDN have selected 30 emerging photographers who represent a variety of styles and genres and have demonstrated a distinctive vision, creativity, and versatility. This year, the editors reviewed the work of more than 300 photographers from around the world. Most were nominated by photo editors, art directors, curators, educators and fellow photographers around the world, and some were invited by editors based on work seen in promotions, portfolio reviews or photo contests.
