The “Estonian Week in Denmark”, introducing Estonia’s economy and culture, will take place in Vordingborg, Denmark, from 11-13 May.
The Estonia Week events provide an opportunity for participating Estonian companies to establish new contacts and find new opportunities for cooperation with Danish companies. The events programme includes presentations introducing Estonia, a business conference and bilateral meetings with potential partners and business consultants.
According to the Estonian ambassador to Denmark, Märt Volmer, the event’s cultural programme allows Estonia to be more widely introduced to Danes. “Through the Estonian version of Nordic cuisine, concerts and photo exhibitions, we are able to ingrain own positive image,” he said.
An Estonian group, I Wear* Experiment, will perform a concert; photographer Toomas Volmer’s exhibition “Colours and Shapes” will be opened; and Vihula Manor chef Lauri Tomingas will introduce the modern tastes of Estonia at the Borgen restaurant.
The event is being organised by the Estonian Embassy in Copenhagen, the Danish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce, Business Vordingborg, Enterprise Estonia and the city of Vordingborg.
