Japanese startups to pitch their business ideas to Estonian President Ilves in Tokyo

Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, on his visit to Japan this week, will attend the FINEST startup event in Tokyo on 6 March, where aspiring Japanese startups can pitch their ideas to arguably one of the most startup-friendly presidents in the world.

FINEST stands for Estonian and Finnish startup scenes and is commonly organised by Enterprise Estonia and Latitude59, an annual Estonian startup conference, as well as Startup Sauna, a Finnish startup accelerator, and SLUSH, one of the biggest startup conferences in the Nordic countries.

While the Japanese startups can participate in the pitching contest, they’ll also have the opportunity to gain an insight into what is happening in Estonia’s startup scene.
