Tallinn hosts a large gaming industry conference

Game developers look “back to the future” at the fifth annual GameDev Days Conference in Tallinn, Estonia.

Over 500 representatives from the world’s largest game development and industry companies, such as Epic Games, Derivco, Ganalogics, King, Remedy and Alawar will gather to the Estonian capital from 7-8 April for a conference that this year features two session tracks with the motto, “Back to the Future”.

Organised and hosted by Creative Mobile, the largest Estonian game developer and publisher, with the support of IGDA Estonia, a non-profit professional society committed to advancing the careers and enhancing the lives of game developers, the conference aims to be a place to share inspiring success stories and tips on how great games are created. The industry leaders also discuss the latest game development trends and technologies as well as current news and research.

Aside from the session tracks, there will be four workshops dedicated to development tools and artwork, running during the first day of the conference and will cover the most significant trends in creating a game. Independent game developers will have the opportunity to present their latest games and get feedback from conference attendees.

“The aim of the GameDev Days conference is to populate Estonia with more game development, and to welcome more young developers dreaming of creating their own game release. In addition, we hope to make Tallinn an affordable and attractive place for industry professionals to visit and network in a friendly and knowledgeable environment,” the organisers behind the event said in a statement.
