Today we launch a new feature – a web comic called “Foreign Exchange”, created by Dan Franch and Brendan Hayes.
The “Foreign Exchange” will poke some fun at Estonia’s current affairs and issues and is a combination of single panel and multi-panel strips. The comic originated in Luxembourg as a single panel strip highlighting national and international foibles.
“Comics are a gateway drug to literacy.” – Art Spiegelman
Comics have long held a distorted mirror to contemporary society, and have been used for political or social commentary. At Estonian World, we believe humour can be a good social corrective and highlight the issues that need more attention and therefore improve the society – which is why we very much welcome Dan and Brendan on board!
